Blue skies and
sunshine greeted the
teams and fans at
New Hampshire Motor
Speedway on Sunday
morning for the 4th
annual Northeast
Classic.
DJ
Shaw #60 and Mike
Hopkins #15 led the
SLM pack to the
green with Hopkins
taking the lead over
Shaw, Corey Hall
#83, and Eddie
MacDonald #17ma.
MacDonald worked his
way up to second by
lap 15 and passed
Hopkines on lap 16.
Red flags then
stopped the show
twice as Trevor
Sanborn #44 hit the
turn two wall and
caught fire after
contact with Dennis
Spencer on lap 19.
Then on lap 23 Nick
Lascula #39L tangled
with Josh King #21
in turn one.
‘The Outlaw’
Eddie MacDonald
showed the way as
the class of the
field following the
competition caution
while DJ Shaw, Ben
Rowe and New
Brunswick’s Hall
battled for second.
The lap 41
caution for debris
allowed the field
one final chance at
Eddie MacDonald but
The Outlaw outgunned
the field with DJ
Shaw and Johnny
Clark rounding out
the podium.
The win marks back
to back victories
for the #17ma and is
the 13th for
MacDonald at New
Hampshire Motor
Speedway in a
variety of PASS,
ACT, and Busch North
events. |
